Ah yes, I have all those pictures. You see, I was co-president of the BBIFCA at the very beginning back then along with Linda Knights. Carol is an old friend (although I've lost contact with her). Carol, Linda and I plus Linda's twin sister Lil were the first members. I was the newsletter editor too. Still have a couple in my stuff. I think we did it for about a year before real life stuck its cruel head in and we had to regretfully give it up. Occasionally, when I sift through things, I run across all the initial things we did and some of the exchanges with Carol, things Brendon sent us. Can't tell you how many hours she and I spent on the phone back then. One night it was a marathon *8* hours! I never did ask Carol what her phone bill was after that one!
I remember when Carol visited us for a week in I think was 1992. My two best friends and I were still doing The G-2 Files then. She spent a week with us when we lived in Chicago, and cooked us a real English dinner one night. We all had a great time.
We're still friends with Katy Bailey, who was a member of the BBIFCA. She may have some pictures from the weekend too. All mine came from Carol, and that's only because Linda, Lil and I couldn't swing the airfare to England.
And it was nice to first meet Brendon over the phone in early 1992. I chatted with him prior to he and Brendon, Jr. heading over to England. And he was kind enough to bring back the crystal goblets that were made for Linda, Lil, Carol and I. I posted pics of it a few years ago at the Beehive.
Wow Rae, so cool you were one of the first BB fans. So Dorothy tells us it's a crystal goblet of some sort. Beautiful. Brendon Jr. is a cutie too. Of course he would be he is Brendon's son. Kat
Hi Kat
These snaps were taken at the first UK fan get-together way back in '93.
It was held in Nottingham, England and attended by approx 40 veteran and new fans.
The group was formed after re-runs on UK TV in the late 80's sparked a revival and like many others we got together firstly to swop videos of missed episodes as the shows were shown mostly at 4 am! Things took off from there with groups getting together to share memorabilia and Carol, based in Central England, contacted US and tracked down the guys. The group got together to form a viable fan club and after raising funds via competitions etc invited Brendon over to attend our first convention.
The snaps show Carol presenting Brendon with gifts, and in particular a lovely inscribed crystal tankard. You can also see Brendon junior in the photos striking a very familiar pose! The other snaps were taken at a banquet in the company of Robin Hood and his merry men - and the evening ended in mayhem with sword fighting on the tables! All in all this gathering formed the basis of Brendon's own group known as BBIFCA - or the 'Brendon Boone International Fan Club Alliance' with membership in UK, USA, Australia as well as quite a contingent of new recruits in China.
Following on, more BBIFCA conventions have been held in various locations in USA and France via the 'non-con' site on yahoo groups and Brendon Boone's Beehive where you can see other albums from each event.
Some more news to follow about the next event coming hopefully later in 2012 with Brendon and Ron - watch this space !
Hey Y'all, what a cool picture of Brendon Boone. What is he looking at? I can't tell what it is. It looks like a blue fancy bowl. Does anyone know what it is? Kat

Dorothy, that will be so
Dorothy, that will be so great if we can all get together. I had hopes that one day it would happen. Thanks Dorothy. Kat
